Young Man Waits In Line (and Waitsโฆ) For The Switch
A couple of days ago we told you how Nintendoโs President confirmed that there are over 100 Nintendo Switch titles in development from over 70 publishers. So needless to say the Switch has some solid support and the hype is real. Many are extremely pumped up for its launch to the point that some are preparing to lineup several hours before the consoles March 3 launch date. Several hours or even a day or two is one thing, but would you wait outside for a full month for a console launch? Well, one man is currently waiting outside Nintendoโs flagship store in New York City just so he can be first to score a Switch.
CaptainNintendoDude (real name Alex) is outside in the cold at this very moment New Yorkโs Nintendo store right now. Alex is waiting alongside Triforce Johnson. Who is Triforce you ask? He is the man who holds the Guinness World Record for having attended the most console launches. Johnson was on the front line for the launch of the Wii U and the 3DS, and heโs joining Alex for his one-month crazy adventure.
Alex flew out to New York especially for the Switchโs launch, with the New York Nintendo store being the first place US gamers can get their hands on the system. Alex will be waiting in line from February 3 to its launch date, and will be documenting his experience in daily YouTube videos.
Check out Alexโs first day in line below:
We donโt know how Alex plans to go about waiting outside the store for a month, but from the looks of things heโs essentially decided to make himself homeless until the Switch launches. Will the store allow it? Is he breaking a city by-law? How is he going to eat? I guess we will have to follow to find out.
