Time to Browse The Property Listings In Tamriel!

Following close behind their exciting announcement of Morrowind Online, The Elder Scrolls Online is getting its first DLC of 2017, available today for PC and Mac users. The update is titled Homestead and allows players to purchase real estate in Tamriel. The update is free and, though Mac and PC users are getting the first crack, will become available for PS4 and XBox One on February 21st. We covered a bit about the original announcement back in December 2016, but it seems Bethesda is ready to go live with it.

Homestead

Supposedly, the DLC allows players to purchase multiple styles of homes and will debut 39 styles of homes. Apartments, houses, manors and even an island and underground cavern are on the list. In addition, the properties are all styled on the game’s various races. So players can purchase a cozy Kajhit home or a more rustic Nord lodge, depending on their preferences. Anyone interested in owning homes only has to complete the introductory tutorial quest. Once it completes, you are good to go and can purchase multiple homes of various sizes that you can share across all of your in-game characters.

In addition to purchasing and owning homes, these homes are fully customizable. As a result, players can acquire and place over 2,000 unique items using the DLC’s Housing Editor. Furniture and decor are available from various in-game merchants and The Crown Store, but players can also craft items for their homes depending on their crafting level. Players will find décor includes tables, chairs, chests, beds, bars, and counters. Decorating items will include books, food, barrels, paintings, light fixtures, plants, trees, and more. You can even include practical items like combat dummies, crafting tables and assistants in the homes. After all, this is Tamriel players need to stay sharp.

Bethesda has all of the details for Homestead on their website. In addition, they also have a trailer showing some of the homes. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
