Nintendo Announces That Their Super Popular NES Classic Edition Sales Hit a New Milestone of 1.5 Million
NES Classic Edition sales soar to a whopping 1.5 million, hitting a grand marketing milestone in just a few short months since Nintendo released the plug-and-play console back in November. Coming with a set of 30 games already preloaded on the system, including large staples in both the world of Nintendo and in gaming history such as Super Mario Bros., Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, the NES Classic Edition quickly became a popular piece of gear for nostalgic gamers, console collectors, and newcomers looking to get their hands on Nintendo’s classic collection of games.
The NES Classic Edition sells for $59.99, if you can get your hands on one. The console has been sold out in GameStops across the globe and has been in extremely short supply. Nintendo president also issued an apology to both consumers and retailers about the shortage, stating that “some parts require more time to procure,” and making firms claims that Nintendo is “working to increase production.”
