New and Exciting Gameplay Released for Super Bomberman R
With less than a month left before we can get our hands on the Nintendo Switch, the Japanese magazine Famitsu hosted a livestream featuring Super Bomberman R. This livestream, coming from Chiba, Japan, showcased some new and exciting gameplay!
In the video, Super Bomberman R is showcased in a four player multiplayer, using the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-con controllers to enable multiple players on the same console. On top of the fun gameplay, the livestream also showed off something that a few players may find useful. Instead of having games on the same Nintendo Switch, the hosts simply dock another console with the game, in this case Superman Bomberman R, already loaded. Â While this may not be a selling point for players who may never need to use this feature, it is interesting regardless.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the ‘R’ in Super Bomberman R symbolized ‘returns and reborn,’ as the original Super Bomberman games were from the SNES, as well as “Rangers, to represent the diverse and colorful group of Bomberman characters who patrol the galaxy.” Konami confirmed that it was a throwback, as a way for them to connect new games with older ones that made them famous. Super Bomberman R is a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, so it will be out on March 3rd, right alongside the console.
