New Game, Old Names, and New Flames Coming this Year in Tekken 7
Fans have long awaited the next iteration of Bandai Namco’s epic fighting saga. Finally concluding the twenty-year Mishima feud, Tekken 7 will hit PS4 and PC on June 2, 2017. Players, gear up for one of the most ravenous and epic fighting games to date. New designs, new combos, and new characters come with the return of old names.
Fans will also be happy to hear that the 3D Battle System is intact, but receiving a new set of “photorealistic” graphics. The team is setting this title as one of their most beautiful and fun games to date. Along with a new roster, Bandai Namco is innovating the game mechanics. We’ll see a new system in place called the ‘Rage System”; this takes effect as your life bar depletes. Acting as a last stand mechanic, your character becomes more aggressive, dealing more damage and dishing out new moves. These come in the form of Rage Drive and Rage Art:
Rage Art quite literally makes you a juggernaut as your reprise your opponent with “armored attacks”; Moreover, you absorb staggering amounts of damage in a renewed onslaught. Then there’s Rage Drive, a new power combo to help turn the tide, though not as devastation as Rage Art.
Along with this announcement, Bandai has happily revealed the Tekken 7 Collector’s Edition. It features an awesome 12” by 18″ figure depicting Kazuya and Heihachi locked in an epic showdown. Along with that, a collectible Steel Book and the official Tekken 7 soundtrack. But the bonus content keeps coming with Eliza from Tekken Revolution – playable for anyone who pre-orders any copy.
We’re also getting Season Pass with three content packs. We expect all content comes with the Collector’s Eidition. And that will deliver new playable characters, stages, a game mode, and a bonus 35-piece Metallic Costume Pack. We’ll have more info on Tekken 7 as it comes. Stick around for June 2. Happy gaming.
