Super Mario Odyssey Revealed for Nintendo Switch
A huge announcement for Super Mario fans was just revealed at the Nintendo Switch event in Tokyo. Super Mario Odyssey will be released on the Nintendo Switch later this year!
While the trailer showcases a different Mario game, walking through the streets and bouncing on cars looking quite similar to Sunset Overdrive. The most different thing you’ll notice in the trailer is that it all happens in a modern city, outside of the Mushroom Kingdom!
While not many details have been released along with this announcement the trailer shows off a different world. Mario journeys to an unknown world and explores the open spaces as somewhat of a successor to Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi also said that Mario’s mysterious cap that now has eyes offers “action that can only be experienced on the Nintendo Switch.”
Super Mario Odyssey will be released during the holiday season later this year exclusively on Nintendo Switch! Check out the trailer for the newest Mario game below.
