Nintendo Switch Event: Skyrim Confirmed to Be Released on the Upcoming Switch
Despite Bethesda’s waffling, Todd Howard has appeared at the Nintendo Switch event and confirmed that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Howard stated that Bethesda “loves to make games and worlds you can get lost in, that you can make your own, and that you never want to put down” and encourages players to enjoy the vast world of Skyrim on the go. Bethesda is excited for the opportunity to finally work with Nintendo, citing their long legacy of fun and innovation. Be sure to check out our Skyrim: Special Edition review here, where we said that “If you’ve never had the chance to climb the snowy mountains of Skyrim, face off against its fierce Frost Trolls, or absorb the souls of dead dragons you’ve bested then jumping into Skyrim Special Edition is a no brainer.”
Bethesda had avoided confirming the existence of a Skyrim port after the original Switch trailer had been revealed, but insiders were confident that the game would be coming to the upcoming console. At least we know the truth now, thanks to Todd. Happy gaming!
