Resident Evil VII Tops UK Charts on Week of Release

While GTA V Falls Just underneath Capcom’s Major Title

Since Resident Evil is one of the top franchises in the UK, these latest findings may come as no surprise. But on top of everything, Capcom’s latest Resident Evil VII is proving itself as one of the most well-received titles in the series.

Following its January 24 release, Resident Evil VII officially takes number 1, beating out GTA V. Yet GTA V has only fallen to number 2. Barely a drop when you consider the other major title released this month, Gravity Rush 2, falling off the list. While it hasn’t done so well in areas like the U.K., Gravity Rush 2 remains a major success in Japan and relished by critics.

But speaking of PS4 exclusives, 4 more titles managed to enter the top 40 alongside Resident Evil VII. Those include Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter, Yakuza 0, Tales of Berseria, and Digimon World: Next Order.
