News of the Cult Classic Remaster Comes from Phil Spencer via Twitter
Unique and a peculiarity for its day, Phantom Dust represents innovative gaming from the original Xbox. Mixing the mechanics of fun card-battling games, along with arena-style combat, players could immerse themselves in post-apocalyptic magic. And it seems we now have a release window.
Phil Spener was asked about the remaster on twitter. As happens with eager fans, Spencer was there to sate curiosities. Xbox’s head has officially placed the release of Phantom Dust Remastered before E3, any time before June 13. With January practically over, that gives us five months at the latest.
@HollowSchematic Should ship before E3.

Back in 2014, Xbox announced a potential remake or sequel in the works for their 2004 title. Phantom Dust Remastered provides something to tie fans over before then. Moreover, it will give new players a chance to warm up to the cult classic before its successor arrives. As previously stated, Phantom Dust was unique for its time and had a great Xbox Live network at a time where online play was barely hitting its stride. Thankfully, we’ll soon see it on Xbox One, so keep your eyes open.
