Possible Mass Effect: Andromeda Release Date (Would Make Sense)

Although Listed Dates Are Likely Placeholders, Mass Effect: Andromedaโ€™s Makes Sense

The possible Mass Effect: Andromeda release date, alongside South Park: Fractured But Whole, comes courtesy of Microsoft. Simply follow the Xbox Live Rewards site to find both listed for March 31 and March 30 respectively. Microsoft has listed them alongside many games anticipated for the first quarter of 2017.

Developer BioWare has already stated that their epic sci-fi RPG would be out โ€œearly 2017.โ€ They said as much after publisher EA suggested it would release during their financial fourth quarter, which spans January to March. Now obviously, the dates listed could simply be placeholders. Among them is Injustice 2, which Ed Boon has already tweeted, โ€œwonโ€™t come out March 28.โ€ This was probably the most obvious takeaway.

Hereโ€™s why Mass Effect: Andromeda would see a sound release on March 31st. Besides the fact that BioWare already claimed an โ€œearly 2017โ€ release, March 31st seems the latest date they can get away with. Considering the game has already been delayed once, it is not EAโ€™s prerogative to stall their AAA titles. But itโ€™s also not in BioWareโ€™s character to deliver unpolished games. Mass Effect 3 was a matter of debate, with many fans upset over the conclusionโ€™s lack of closure. BioWare did offer consolation with free DLCs, then some paid add-ons. But this called the original gameโ€™s finish into question.

Everything said, March 31st gives BioWare as much time as possible to facilitate a Mass Effect: Andromeda release date within EAโ€™s projected window. But Microsoft probably knows that, too. Hence, why they used that date for the listing. All in all, we should expected Mass Effect: Andromeda no later than March, unless BioWare is really squeezing in every extra minute for that polish.

Expect Mass Effect: Andromeda for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. As of right now, there are no plans for a Nintendo Switch release. For More on Mass EffectInjustice 2, and all games slated for 2017, keep updated with COGconnected.
