One New Class Per Faction Promises Fun-filled Blood Spill in For Honor
First a new Injustice 2 trailer was announced earlier today, now a total of three new trailers for For Honor. Exciting tidings all around. Wielders of polearms come together in brand-new footage; Valkyrie and Lawbringer come courtesy of IGN while Nobushi comes courtesy of PlayStation EU. Each trailer reveals the playable class while showcasing the their unique skill set. Watch the bloody mayhem below:
The Samurai faction may have a new swift unit on their hands. This femme fatale spins a menacing Naginata, Japan’s historical innovation of the spear. It was a matter of time before such a unit was introduced to this faction, and officially their first female addition.
While probably not as fast as the Nobushi, here we have the toughest playable female since Overwatch’s Zarya. Valkyries represent an arc of Viking myth delivered to video games in the most brutal fashion. Wielding a shield and spear, she makes for a wonderful one-woman wall of Viking dominance.
And of course, Ubisoft would be missing an opportunity if they didn’t incorporate Halberds. Appropriately designated to the Knight faction, this new Lawbringer brings the ultimate combination of heavy weapon and armor to get Medieval on thy neighbor.
For Honor will release for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on February 14. Before then, prospective gamers can register for the closed beta happening between January 26 & 69. Since this represents a new IP for Ubisoft, once that’s very multiplayer-focused, expectations are high.
Everything said, what do you think of these new faction additions? Feel free to comment your thoughts. And expect more news on the short road to February and beyond. We at COGconnected shall keep you updated. Happy gaming.
