The Latest Installment in the Tales Of Series is Here, And Their Female Protagonist is Out For Blood!
Bandai Namco Entertainment announces the launch of its newest Tales installment, Tales of Berseria. The game is available today on PlayStation 4 and on Jan 26th for Steam. We have been following the updates on this title here at COGconnected but it seems we now have launch trailer, check it out!
The new Tales game shows the series first female protagonist, Velvet Crowe. According to the game site, she is a “young woman whose once gentle nature has been replaced and overcome with a festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience left her imprisoned for three excruciating years.” In addition to the massive chip on her shoulder, Velvet is a brainchild of veteran TALES OF character designers; Mutsumi Inomata. Furthermore, famous Japanese animation studio Ufotable lends its skills to the game’s skillful cutscenes, and as a result, each scene flows through the storytelling.
In addition to the beautiful narrative, the game expands upon the iconic battle system for chained combo attack opportunities. It will also feature a brand new cast of characters. Players will enjoy a whole new take on the Tales world as Velvet joins up with a crew of pirates. Together they set out to explore the many islands that make up the sacred kingdom of Midgand.
