So Far, So Good For Ace Combat 7Â
As of today, Ace Combat 7 is a PS4 exclusive but last month we told you how the developers are not closing the doors on a multi-platform release. Yesterday, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia showcased some stellar gameplay of the PlayStation VR version of Ace Combat 7 during a stage event from Taipei Game Show.
The video below, compliments of our friends at DualShockers, was recorded from the PlayStation VR social screen, and shows a jet take-off from a carrier. It also gives us a glimpse of some of the games air combat. Ace Combat 7 was reintroduced after a year of silence at the PlayStation Experience with a fantastic trailer, and some really slick looking screenshots. Without further ado, you can watch the new gameplay below:
Apparently the game won’t be fully playable on the PlayStation VR, as the campaign will focus on visuals, so it wouldn’t be possible to make it run on the headset. That being said it looks immersive and incredible. And may be the best use of VR we have seen to date.
Putting gamers in the cockpit of the most advanced war planes ever developed, Ace Combat 7Â delivers the fiercest air combat experience ever created through photorealistic visuals, intense dog-fighting action, a multitude of authentic and futuristic aircraft to fly, an immersive storyline, and even virtual reality!
Ace Combat 7 is scheduled to release this year, exclusively for PS4.
