New NiOh Gameplay
NiOh is another entry in the “Souls-like” genre. Players are thrust into the role of William, a samurai who is very loosely based on William Adams, and are tasked with conquering all sorts of nasty demons in ancient Japan. Demons aren’t the only creatures that you will encounter, as you’ll be dealing with other humans as well, and the combat presents a wide range of options for you on how to proceed. You can read our detailed NiOh hands-on HERE. Today Koei Tecmo showcased a large amount of gameplay of the upcoming PS4 exclusive by Team Ninja NiOh. Needless to say, it looks fantastic.

In the video you can check out an intense boss battle. Also in the video, we get a look at the two helmets that will be granted as a bonus to those who cleared both the alpha and the beta versions of the game. At the 01:14:55 mark we get another segment of gameplay showing both helmets in game, and how you can apply the appearance of a piece of equipment to another, in order to have William armed and armored in the most effective way, but also with the style you prefer.
During the livestream, we also get a reminder about the deluxe edition and pre-order bonuses, and the confirmation of the four modes that will be available on PS4 Pro.
NiOh is set to launch exclusively for the PS4 on February 9th.
