Nintendo Switch: 4GB Ram and 32GB Internal Storage Says Insider
The Nintendo Switch has been all the buzz the past week or so after its announcement. Now, new details are surfacing regarding its specs from a known industry insider over Twitter. Emily Rogers has been very accurate in past predictions for the Nintendo NX, now dubbed the Switch. She was the first to reveal that it would sport a 6.2” 720p multi-touch display which turned out to be right. Previously it was thought that the retail version of the Nintendo Switch would sport a mere 2GB of RAM, half of what’s available in the dev units. Turns out that 4GB RAM will stick around.
Alright. I have some good news. I can confirm that Switch has 4GB of ram in RETAIL units. Not just the dev kits. Double the Wii U’s ram.

@AkiraGr51 It’s good news because some people thought the ram in the final units would be half of the dev kits.

@ColdBlooder Well it is a portable device. And Nintendo doesn’t want Switch to overly expensive.

If Roger is on point (which we have a feeling she is) she also believes that the retail unit will ship with 32GB of internal storage. Absolutely puny in today’s standards but we still have much to learn about the console and how its games will be stored/played.
@Ccoyne83 @ZhugeEX Retail unit will have 32GB storage. I’m pretty sure of that.

We’ve still got a long way to go before the January event in Tokyo that will give us the real lowdown on all things Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, you can chew on this but also take it as rumor until fully confirmed by Nintendo themselves.
