Exciting NBA 2KVR Experience Available Tomorrow

Today 2K announced that they are going to be offering the first virtual reality basketball game with the NBA 2KVR Experience tomorrow! The new NBA environment will be filled with exciting challenges and mini-games and will be available not only on the PlayStation VR, but also the HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR!

Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts at 2K had this to say about their choice to bring the game of basketball to the VR systems, “Our team consistently looks for new ways to deliver unique, fun experiences for the gamer. NBA 2KVR will give fans even more access to our franchise and test new skills across entertaining VR challenges.”

In the NBA 2KVR Experience, players will step onto the court at the Indiana Pacers’ stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, to join All-Star and NBA 2K17 cover athlete Paul George in the game of their lives. Paul George will guide the players by offering tips to help improve their skills in mini-games and features and will provide general commentary in game as well.

The mini-games and features include time attack, buzzer beater, a three-point shootout and an accuracy skills challenge. Players will have the ability to earn a variety of Gatorade boosts that will aide their shooting ability, speed, recovery and more, all of which will help to reach the top of the leaderboards.
