Final Fantasy XV will have a 7GB day 1 patch to go alongside its 50GB file size
When news broke that hotly-anticipated upcoming RPG title Final Fantasy XV would be delayed from its original September 30th release date, game director Hajime Tabata said that he wanted to make sure the final retail version would be complete. But apparently, buyers of the game on its November 29th launch date will have to download a whopping 7GB patch.
This news comes via Gearnuke, who report that leaked copies of the game have been selling early in Peru – and those lucky players are posting images of Final Fantasy XV’s initial patch online. The images clearly show a 7.2GB patch – check it out for yourself in the screenshot below, posted on Twitter by user LordKelsen:
Plus, with pre-loading already underway for those who pre-ordered the digital version of the game on Xbox Live, we now have word that Final Fantasy XV will be a hefty 50 GB of space on your hard drive. Twitter user Santa Robey posted a screen reveal of the file size:
Final Fantasy XV will be officially released on November 29th for the PS4 and Xbox One. It had been originally due to launch on September 30th, but it was delayed to November 29th to give more time to the developers to finish it. The day one patch is said to fix the camera issues that became apparent in the game’s demo and early press copies.
