South Park: The Fractured But Whole Delayed to 2017

South Park Fractured But Whole

It looks like fans of the potty-mouthed kids from South Park are going to have to wait a little longer for their next video game fix. South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed into Q1 of 2017 with the date yet to be specified. Originally scheduled for a December 6th, 2016, release the developers issued a brief statement saying, โ€œThe development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.โ€

We saw the game back at E3 and thought it looked fantastic so while the delay is a wee bit disappointing weโ€™d rather have a complete game than an unfinished and buggy one. Executive Editor Trevor Houston previewed the game as well saying, โ€œThere is no question South Park fans will get a kick out of The Fractured But Whole but even those turn-based RPG fans who are looking to laugh their asses off there is plenty here to enjoy. South Park: Stick of Truth was one of my favorite games from 2014 and I have no doubt South Park: The Fractured But Whole could easily be in the running for my game of the year in 2016.โ€

Well, Trevor, it looks like it may be in the running for the GotY 2017 awards instead! Keep it locked to COGconnected for more information as we get it.
