Xbox Design Lab will let you design your own custom Xbox One controller
At Microsoft’s E3 2016 Press Conference, the company announced a new web site called Xbox Design Lab that will let you finally design the controller you have always wanted – from the colors you want, to even the name on the controller.
Xbox Design Lab will let you choose from what the company promises will be over 8,000,000 color combinations, so you can customize your controller as you please. You can also have your name engraved into the controller – so no more fighting with your friends and family over which controller you get to use (that will surely save a lot of needless bloodshed).
Keep in mind that these new customizable controllers will come with the new Xbox One S, the new slimmer version of Microsoft’s flagship console which they just announced at the same E3 presser. The controllers will have a few tweaks over previous models as well, with Bluetooth connectivity and nicr grips.
The new controllers will ship October of this year. You will soon be able to pre-order on Microsoft’s new Xbox Design Lab web portal – once it goes live, we will let you know. The controllers will cost you $79.99 US, and an extra $9.99 for engraving of your name.
