Three Crash Bandicoot Games are Being Remastered for PS4
Crash is back, bitches. At E3, it was announced that Sony and Activision will be releasing remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Crash Bandicoot Warped for the PlayStation 4.
Crash’s first appearance will be in the new Skylanders Imaginators game. See the trailer here, which shows the awesome visuals we can expect when the game drops – a new HD makeover from Naughty Dog sure doesn’t hurt!
The cute little Aussie looks like he hasn’t aged a day since we last saw him – let’s hope this is one revival that does justice to a legend! If audience reaction is any indication, the franchise will be well-received, as the crowd at Sony’s E3 press conference positively erupted upon the announcement that Crash was returning.
Update With Official Press Release:
Tonight during the Sony Interactive Entertainment America LLC, E3 Press Conference, Activision Publishing and Sony revealed iconic character – Crash Bandicoot – is joining Skylanders Imaginators! Celebrating his 20-year anniversary, Crash returns in 2016 as a guest star in Skylanders Imaginators, where he will be fully playable as a Sensei character and brand-new toy.
Available in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 starter packs at launch ($99.99), Crash (famed voice actor Jess Harnell reprises his role) will maintain his unique and quirky personality. Fans can look forward to his signature spin attack, as well as callbacks to his beloved past, including moves that incorporate exploding crates with 3-2-1 countdowns, wumpa fruit, jetpack attack from high in the air and more. As a Sensei, Crash’s Sky-Chi attack is the ability to use a yo-yo to yank his enemies into a spin attack!
The Crash toy will be playable across all platforms in Skylanders Imaginators – the game where Portal Masters can unleash their imaginations to create an infinite number of unique Skylanders characters.
