Alienware Lights Up E3 With 4 New Products

Alienware Expands Their Industry Leading Lineup at E3 2016

Alienware celebrated their 20th birthday in style at E3 2016 by unveiling 4 new VR-ready products. As a pioneer in the custom and gaming PC market, Alienware has always been on the cutting edge of technology but has reaffirmed their status as the ones to beat when it comes to VR capable products.

“With the new standard of 4k gaming and the well-deserved excitement of VR, we want everyone to know we have solutions designed for them, whether it’s the largest selection of VR-capable systems or 12k gaming solutions,” said Frank Azor, General Manager of Alienware and XPS. “Energized by our partnerships and inspired by our community, the same vision that launched this company two decades ago is still driving us to deliver for gamers and VR enthusiasts, no matter how their needs evolve.”

Here’s the scoop on the new Alienware hardware, which we had the chance to test drive on the show floor.

Alienware Aurora Desktop

A mid-tower desktop for the masses, the all-new Aurora is designed for gaming with the latest Nvidia graphics cards, overclockable components, and available liquid cooling. It features a completely toolless chassis (which feels more robust than most screw-free solutions), and Alienware’s signature AlienFX software for controlling chassis bling. For those looking for a standard form factor desktop, the Aurora is a solid piece of hardware offering flexible and powerful build options while still having a bit of flash. It also has a certifiably insane number of USB ports.

Alienware Alpha Desktop

This thing is tiny. The Alpha is small enough to hide almost anywhere, while still packing enough punch to be a competent gaming solution. Available with an Nvidia GTX 960 (and hints that a ‘new’ AMD GPU may soon be an option *cough* RX 480 *cough*), the Alpha has enough grunt for most games while also offering the option of connecting the Alienware Graphics Amplifier for some additional horsepower.

Alienware Area 51 Desktop

One of the most iconic and striking desktops around, the Area 51 is freshly updated with new Broadwell-E CPUs with 6-10 cores and the newest Nvidia GPUs. The system is a monster in both size and capability, offering more customization options than most cars do. For those looking for insane frame rates and phenomenal cosmic power, the Area 51 has the power to deliver.

Alienware 13 OLED Notebook

The first gaming laptop to offer an OLED screen, the Alienware 13 is a brand new breed. OLED screens only illuminate pixels that need to be lit, meaning they possess insane contrast ratios, vivid colors, and the darkest blacks around. The screen looked fantastic in person, sporting very solid viewing angles and impressive clarity. The notebook is also capable of connecting to the Alienware Graphics Amplifier for some additional power, making the Alienware 13 an all in one workstation and gaming destination.
