Microsoft Not Afraid to Congratulate Naughty Dog
If it weren’t for the Friday the 13th release of DOOM getting in the way, all we’d still be talking about is Naughty Dog, the triumphant return of Nathan Drake and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Naughty Dog’s finale to the franchise is so good that it crosses barriers of platform allegiance with even those who might be missing out on the game acknowledging just how good it looks.
Not wanting to be left out of the love in, some of the Microsoft Execs even got in on the affection. Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Product Manager posted this tweet, thanking his friends at Sony for a copy of Uncharted 4 that he can’t wait to play.
Nice of my friends @PlayStation to send over a copy. Excited about this one. pic.twitter.com/W3SVpeDANM

Jeff Rubenstein meanwhile, the Head of Digital Storytelling for the Xbox team, had loads of gushing and good things to say about Uncharted 4 on Major Nelson’s podcast recently.
I did start playing Uncharted 4. This is actually the first Uncharted game that I wasn’t on the team for. ‘It’s a great game, and it’s a great team. You know, Naughty Dog always deliver high quality, so congratulations to them.
Now this kind of love has been reciprocated of course, with Sony execs going out of their way to compliment Microsoft as well. Adam Boyes and more took to Twitter to congratulate Remedy and Xbox One on the release of Quantum Break most recently. A great game that transcends exclusivity just like Uncharted 4.
If only we could get the masses to acknowledge that great games are worthy of praise regardless of where they fall on the platform pile. It certainly would result in a less toxic community, no?
