Gamers, glory awaits! Reach Game Studios has launched the official website and launched pre-orders for its upcoming social, world-driven FPS RPG GLORY. GLORY is what the developers call “a next-generation science fiction first-person role playing game” from Reach Game Studios. It looks awesome if this teaser trailer from May 2015 is any indication:
Created by studio design director Adrian Vergara and written by noted games critic and novelist Nick Hudson, the game is “a story about humanity’s hope for a future beyond Earth.”
Here is a more detailed description, courtesy of the developer:
“The earth can no longer be saved. In the near future, the outbreak a War of Apathy sends the planet beyond the brink of disaster, and this global conflict would force all of humanity to share a terrible fate.
The only hope for survival lies on a distant planet, far from the stars we know.
You are a Seeker; one of many explorers sent to find a home for humanity on a world that that proves to be as ruthless as the one we left behind. The sprawling wastes of Ferramor will test the limits of the seekers, and they will learn that the universe is not as empty as they had believed. It’s up to you and other Seekers to build a colony for the refugees from Earth, and help humanity to find its glory.”
Interested? We are told that fans can today pre-order the Dawnseeker Digital Deluxe edition for PC, which includes GLORY (scheduled for release Financial Year 2017), the Sigil of Founders player portrait and guaranteed entry to the Glory Early Access Program scheduled for launch this year, as well as FEAST OF WORLDS, Glory’s first expansion (TBD).
The Digital Deluxe edition is currently only available for PC pre-order (with console SKUs to come later in the year).
Glory is scheduled for release in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
