During Sony’s keynote presentation at the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco today, Sony announced that the “Sparrow Racing League” is coming to Destiny to those who own The Taken King expansion pack.
Details indicate that you’ll be racing on various “courses” on Mars and Venus against other players. Â It’s a six-person death race through many recognizable areas. Â You’ll have the chance to earn yourself some new sparrows and new vehicles during this event. Â And as an added bonus, this mode is FREE. Â And free is good right?
It was announced that the racing mayhem is set to start on December 8, and will run for 3 weeks. Â It was also mentioned that PS4 users will get an ‘timed exclusive quest’ when the Sparrow Racing League launches. Â Being that this unveiling of the Sparrow Racing League was at the PlayStation Experience, there was no mention of if and when Xbox One users will get this new mode.
And if you paid attention right after, you should have also heard that PS4 owners are getting exclusive items for the next Iron Banner event too, which was a announcement that didn’t have much, if any, further detail to it.
