In an interview with The Guardian, DICE General Manager Patrick Bach revealed that the game developer is fully aware of just how high the stakes are in developing the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront game. However, he also said that it was an honor that just couldn’t be passed up.
“When we were asked to do this we were really scared. We thought, no, this is too intimidating,” Bach told The Guardian as part of a preview.
“And we had enough in our pipeline to be able to say no. But on the other hand, your heart is screaming yes! Because of course you want to make a Star Wars game. We just thought, okay, we’ll figure it out as we go.”
Releasing for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Star Wars Battlefront is an action online multiplayer shooter set in the Star Wars realm. It is scheduled to release November 17th, 2015 in North America, November 19th in Australia, and November 20th in Europe.
