It was reported over at Siliconera that interesting dialogues occur when you talk to characters summoned by their amiibo. Since the Robin, Lucina, Ike, and Marth amiibos are all compatible with Fire Emblem Fates, not only do you get to interact with them within the game, but also have the opportunity to hear about their time within the Super Smash Bros. game.
Here’s a glimpse of what the characters have to say:
- Robin says something along the lines of “I have the strangest feeling that before coming here, I battled against many combatants… launching people, getting launched…”.
- Lucina further elaborates by mentioning “that battleground,” where she “honed her skills by matching up against competitors from around the world”.
- Ike reiterates the need to hone one’s skills by saying “I just remembered… before coming here, I matched up against countless warriors from all over the world to hone my skills.”
- Marth isn’t as direct as Robin, Lucina, or Ike in terms of a fourth wall dialogue, but he does say “As we spoke before, my bonds with everyone have deepened through battle.”
We can only wonder what Roy’s dialogue will be like when his amiibo releases. If anything, this gives more hype to the game and more possible utilizations with amiibos.
Fire Emblem Fates is scheduled for a 2016 release in North America.
