The Last of Us Remastered is Slated to Arrive for PS4

The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 has been listed for pre-order on the Sony Entertainment Network website.

The long-rumoured but officially unannounced game is priced at $59.99 (via NeoGAF), although clicking the pre-order link currently leads to a dead page.

Quotes attributed to a Turkish PlayStation spokesperson in March suggest a next-gen version of Naughty Dog’s game is being readied for release this summer (or winter in Australia). And late last month, Spanish retailer Xtralife also began is carrying an online listing for The Last of Us PS4 with a June 19 release date.

A spokesperson for Sony’s European arm opted not to comment on a potential PS4 version of the game when contacted by CVG on Wednesday.

According to Sony, The Last of Us sold more than 3.4 million copies between its release on June 14 and July 3 last year, making it the fastest selling new franchise in PS3’s history and, at the time, the console’s quickest selling game of 2013. In mid-March, Sony said that The Last of Us sales had cleared six million units.

Naughty Dog creative director Druckmann recently said there’s a 50/50 chance that a The Last of Us sequel will be developed.
