Top 7 Video Game Releases to Watch For February 2017

Horizon: Zero Dawn – Sony Interactive Entertainment – PS4 (Feb 28)

Hands down this is the most anticipated game of the month for February. Guerrilla Games unveils its Decima Engine and its new heroine, Aloy, in Horizon: Zero Dawn. With an impressive and mysterious mix of technology and primal human society, Horizon has captivated fans since its reveal way back at E3 2015. The time is almost here and PlayStation fans are nearly rabid to sink their teeth into what is very likely the next flagship franchise for the PlayStation family. The wait is nearly over and you can get your hands on this epic journey on Feb 28. Keep it locked to COGconnected for a full written and video review once it releases.

INDIE SPOTLIGHT

Night in the Woods – Finji – PS4, PC (Feb 21)

When we covered this Kickstarter-funded game a few weeks back we called it out for being an early contender for your most stylish game of 2017. This indie adventure game screams style and while it may not have that big AAA billing it looks like it’s shaping up to be a wholly unique experience. Full of sarcastic humor, quirky characters, and wonderfully put together set pieces this game is the very definition of what is coming to be known as III. The term surfaced last year mostly and was used in reference to games like Firewatch and Life is Strange for indie games that have serious production values behind them to stand above other games in the indie scene. Join college dropout Mae Borowski as she returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren’t the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades.

And there’s something in the woods.

Now, the only real question is what are you picking up this month? Well… that or did we miss anything? We’d love to hear your comments over on Twitter or down below in the comment section!
