Release Window and Characters Revealed for Attack on Titan 2

A New Experience for Season 2 of Attack on Titan

Koei Tecmo earlier revealed new info for Attack on Titan 2, the sequel to their 2016 action game. After a titanic broadcast from their global headquarters in Japan, they revealed that the game will arrive in March 2018.

According to a press release, Attack on Titan 2 will expand on the content of the first installment by following the events of the second season. Those who follow the anime will have a good idea of what that entails. We have new and returning characters with updated AI. Likewise, the enemy titans of this versatile action game will require additional dexterity on the part of the player. They will be tougher. But because enemy titans are tougher, Koei Tecmo has brought in the Monocular. These let you pinpoint titans from afar so that you can analyze and make the best use of your omnidirectional gear.

During their broadcast, Koei Tecmo revealed their cast of playable characters. The game includes Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Levi, Miche Zacharias, Nanaba, Gelgar, Ymir and Christa Lenz. Alternatively, Attack on Titan 2 grants you the option to create and customize your very own member of the Survey Corps.

While Attack on Titan 2 is a high-octane action game, this installment includes some RPG elements. Outside of combat, players can build their relationships with other characters via training. Moreover, the element called “Town Life” further grants opportunities to strengthen relationships and form bonds. Thanks to this feature, we gain never-before-seen insight into these characters.

Attack on Titan 2 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Stay tuned for updates as time goes by.
