Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

In a press release sent yesterday, Square Enix Japan has revealed the dual-job class system in the upcoming Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. So, how does it work? Well, once a character levels up enough to unlock the “L Board Plus”, then the said character will able to get a secondary job to complement their skill set. In the older International version, players would be stuck to one job and unable to change jobs after picking one out for the cast. With this new system, you can finally turn Balthier, FF XII’s leading man, into a Samurai/Machinist to save Ivalice.

Aside from the new addition to the job system, the press release also gave us a glimpse of a new real-time transparent map. You can turn on the map by hitting “L3” while exploring the many dungeons and fields of the game. Loading times will also be getting sliced down as well. Besides that, there will also be eight new songs recorded for field and boss music for the game too.

The wait for the gorgeous-looking Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be that much harder as it comes for PS4 on July 11.
