Konami has announced that the online multiplayer component of the newly-released Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, called Metal Gear Online, will go live October 6th.
The online element of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (included when you buy the main game) represents the third iteration of the popular multiplayer game, newly redesigned with the familiar gameplay and aesthetic styling of its companion single-player campaign.
Metal Gear Online will feature a “class system” that more uniquely defines the strengths and abilities of player characters on the battlefield. Key characters from the series including Venom Snake and Ocelot will also make appearances in the anticipated multiplayer feature.
Metal Gear Online will be available for download on October 6th, free for all those who purchase the main game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
