Jedi: Survivor Gameplay
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the follow-up to Fallen Order, will be coming out at the end of the month. We got to sit down and play it, as well as get some deeper insight from Design Director Jeff Magers and Senior Producer Blair Brown.
We start with where the demo drops us. It takes place on the planet Koboh, about an hour into the game. There is a big step up from the pervious game in terms of optional content. This includes a wider customization system, not just for Cal’s lightsaber, but for Cal’s appearance, and his droid companion BD.
Similarly to Fallen Order, in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you can upgrade Cal’s skills as a Jedi. What is new to this game is the different perks you can apply. These are interchangeable perks that can customize your combat skills to your personal preference and strengths.
We can also see the returning and new fighting stances Cal can use. In addition to the Double-sided, Single blade, and Dual blade stances, there are new Cross-guard and Blaster stances. Cal can equip two stances at a time, but change between any combination at Meditation Points.
Backtracking and exploring in Fallen Order was a little tiresome sometimes. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has added new mounts that Cal can use to quickly traverse the area and access previously unreachable locations.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor comes out on April 28th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
