Top Releases of October 2020
As we approach October 2020, we are within striking distance of the next generation of consoles. While the gaming world’s attention is focused on our next machines, the world keeps going and the games keep coming. October 2020 has a plethora of solid titles releasing, some of which are bound to end up on your next consoles as well.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time – PS4, X1 – Oct 2
Living up to its title, it is definite about time for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Releasing as a sequel to Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, Crash Bandicoot 4 disregards all the other games that have come out since. Now being developed by Toys For Bob, Crash is back, and there is hope that the franchise can return to relevancy after years of mediocre releases followed by the recent N. Sane Trilogy.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – PC – Oct 27
Perhaps surprisingly to some, World of Warcraft is still kicking around strong. It’s latest expansion pack, Shadowlands, is the eight expansion of the game. Essentially, the Shadowlands is the realm of the dead in the Warcraft world, and along with a whole new realm, the game does have other updates. Most prominent among them are a level reduction (from 120 to 60, with players at 120 being reverted to 50), an overhauled leveling system, the Death Knight class for all races, and new content. World of Warcraft has been an almost permanent fixture in the gaming landscape, and it does not appear to be stopping anytime soon.
