Time Savers!
If you’re an impatient bastard like myself, you’ll want to save time while saving the world. The B button on a gamepad is your best friend in this regard. Often you can use this to dash forward through narrow passageways or low-height caves that would normally force you to move slowly. If you’ve mastered the difficult task of hitting the X button, you can also speed up climbing with Ice Axes by jumping and connecting with the wall instead of slowly moving upward.
Don’t Charge!
Headshots with the bow and arrow are easy, so easy that you won’t need to bother charging the damn thing up. With an exception to some of the tougher enemies you face in the third act, you can kill most enemies by just tapping the right trigger.
Poison!
Poison arrows are the Swiss army knife of the Bow’s arsenal. They can solve any problem when it comes to opponents. Whether it’s clearing enemies before you have access to triple headshot arrows, or instantly killing the tedious and annoying shield enemies.
Read!
Reading levels up and can lead to further understanding of languages, which leads to hidden gold coins, which leads to usable currency, which leads to purchases of weapons and attachments.
