2: The Soon To Be Biggest New IP of All Time – “Destiny”
Destiny is pretty much the only game people are talking about right now. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is playing the Beta right now on the PS4. The only people who seem to be holding out for the Beta on the Xbox One are Microsoft employees and their families, those who only own Xbox One’s, and one certain Xbox MVP I know (sorry buddy, he knows who he is). Otherwise, every other gamer on the planet is playing the beta right now. Why is Destiny a big deal? Well how about you read this article (5 Reasons Destiny Will Be the Biggest New IP Launch of All Time) I prepared well over a year ago. According to the latest numbers more gamers are pre-ordering Destiny on the PS4 compared to the Xbox One. I expect the gap to widen in the weeks leading up to the games launch. If you want to play Destiny, the PS4 is where you want to play it – trust me.
3: The Xbox One’s Trade-in Value Isn’t That Bad, Right Now
At the time I wrote this, my local EB Games was offering $215.00 dollar trade-in value for the Xbox One with the Kinect. On Craigslist I am seeing used consoles go for anywhere from $300-400 bucks. I know this is still a far cry from the $500 bucks plus tax or so you paid for it but you if you want to get the most for your Xbox One, the time to cash in your chips is NOW. Sell or trade your Xbox One, trade in a few games and you can have a new PS4 just like that. If you can live without Halo 5, Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive, then ditching your Xbox One makes plenty of sense, right?
