Six Mind-Blowing Things From Sony’s E3 2015 Press Conference

The Sony E3 press conference was filled with old and new goodies that many viewers expected, but also unexpected to experience. Old and new, expected and unexpected – the words that basically sum up the Sony E3 press conference. Although Sony revealed a handful of new information, content, and – of course – games, there are 6 things that were just downright mind-blowing in their own unique way. So, without further ado, here are the 6 mind-blowing things that happened at Sony’s E3 press conference!

The Last Guardian Re-Revealed

Ah yes, The Last Guardian. How long has it been since I first laid my eyes on you? Let alone speculated about you? Almost a decade of course! All the way back in 2007 there was speculation, then in 2009 a reveal at E3. Finally, we got a re-reveal of The Last Guardian and it still looks amazing. While a tad bit expected and old news, what’s new about this reveal is that we know it’s still alive and kicking! Hopefully this time around, however, we won’t be left in the dark for almost another decade…

New Hitman Game Announced Through a Stunning Trailer

Agent 47 is making a comeback and taking contracts from all over the world. The last time we saw Agent 47 was back in 2012 in Hitman: Absolution.  What’s so mind-blowing about this reveal is its stunning trailer that hints and contains many intriguing elements topped with great visuals. All I can say is “good to have you back”.

Announcement of the New PlayStation Exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn

When we watch a press conference from E3, one of the things we expect to see is a new IP/game that we have yet to hear about. On Sony’s end, Horizon Zero Dawn was revealed. It’s packed with some peculiar and interesting creatures, themes, and designs that make it something to look out for. From the trailer, you get a glance of a vast world overrun by dinosaur robot-things in which human tribes must work together to survive. It’s another visually stunning trailer that shows off some nifty combat mechanics.

World of Final Fantasy Coming to PS4 and PS Vita

World of Final Fantasy…who would have thought something like this would be announced? How about for the PS Vita too? Madness!! While World of Final Fantasy is definitely not your next big Final Fantasy instalment, it looks to be a pretty nostalgic one. It brings back old characters and creatures, but in the most adorable and tiniest way possible. All I can say is keep coming with the Final Fantasy games Square Enix!

Kickstarter Campaign for Shenmue 3

The announcement for the Shenmue 3 kickstarter campaign was definitely one of the most unexpected and mind-blowing not just for the Sony E3 press conference, but E3 entirely. There was clapping, tears, and indefinite excitement, which was quite overwhelming…but in a good way. This is something the fans have been yearning, hoping, and wishing for a long time to see. Without a doubt, it’s getting funded – no question there. I mean, how could it not? You can check out the Kickstarter campaign HERE

Final Fantasy VII Remake Reveal

Need I say more? Final Fantasy VII, one of the most beloved classic games loved by an immense amount of people worldwide is finally…FINALLY getting a remake. This was just full of screaming, hugging, and shouts of “YES” and “HOLY S#%T”. No more yearning, hoping, or wishing – just patience. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here everyone. Here for the new to experience, and old to re-experience in glorious HD.

There were some crazy announcements and reveals at the Sony E3 press conference that I never would have guessed I’d live to see. Many emotions and feelings definitely filled the theatres at E3 and even homes across the world. Sony did not disappoint this time around at E3, and I can only look forward to what else is up everyone’s sleeves for the rest of E3.
