Only minutes after Sony’s announcement of the Shenmue Kickstarter campaign, backers have swarmed onto the campaign’s page. As of 7:47 Pacific Time, the campaign already had 7,865 backers, and had raised over $689,000 of its goal of $2,000,000.
The campaign still has until July 17th to reach its goal – and it seems like it will have no trouble making that long before the deadline.
Sony announced the campaign at its E3 Press Conference starting at 6:00PM Pacific Time.
