Razer today announced that Gideon Yu has joined its board of directors. Mr. Yu’s appointment brings deep experience in high-tech and financial executive management to Razer as the company continues its fast-paced growth.

Gideon Yu is the co-owner and former president of the San Francisco 49ers. Prior to the 49ers, he was a general partner at Khosla Ventures, where he led the firm’s investment in Jack Dorsey’s Square and was the founding outside board member. Previously, Mr. Yu served as the chief financial officer of both Facebook and YouTube, the first two internet companies to achieve one billion active users. He also served as the treasurer and senior vice president of Finance for Yahoo. Mr. Yu earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University and received an MBA from Harvard.
