Hundreds of Super Smash Bros. fans gathered at District 28 in Toronto on Saturday, October 18 to celebrate the launch of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the world-wide phenomenon that has sold more than 2.8 million copies since its launch on October 3. Fans took part in on-site battles and were treated to Super Smash Bros.-inspired giveaways, with a grand prize raffle winner going home with a limited edition blue Super Smash Bros. Buzz for the Canadian-exclusive events started when fans received a Canadian-inspired video challenge from Reggie Fils-Aime, president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, to create the official rules for Super Smash Club. The ten fan-created rules were shared on Nintendo of Canada’s Facebook and Twitter pages earlier this month.
Future Super Smash Club gatherings are happening across Canada in October and November – the full schedule is available at nintendo.ca/supersmashclub.  Don’t forget to follow Nintendo of Canada on Twitter for more smashing updates.
