Square has announced today that a brand new IP entitled ‘Remember Me’ will be coming to consoles and PC. The game will be released digitally and using the episodic model that is becoming so popular. Each new chapter will build and change based on your actions in the previous chapters, according to Sqaure.
The game revolves around a woman named Max Caulfield who comes home and finds that a few of her classmates have vanished under unpleasant circumstances. Max teams up with her friend Chole to help her get to the bottom of the disappearances. The games ‘butterfly effect’ style reactions to your actions will have an added layer of complexity as Max discovers she can rewind time. It wasn’t stated the depth of that ability, or how often you can use it, but it definitely ups the ante for the gameplay.
While no release date has officially been announced, it is on display at Gamescom this week, hinting that it might be ready for distribution sooner rather than later.
