Forza Horizon 2 Announced, Coming to Xbox Consoles Later This Year

Xbox box owners can get ready to start their engines as Microsoft has today announced Forza Horizon 2 will be launching later this year.

Playground Games are returning as developer and as such, Forza Horizon 2 will continue the open world gameplay of the first Forza Horizon. Playground Games will be working closely with Forza Motorsports developer Turn 10 Studios on the game. This partnership is intended to allow both developers to build on the design of previous Forza titles.

The Drivatar feature from Forza 5 will be making a reappearance., and a much requested weather system will also be making its first appearance in Forza Horizon 2. Through this system, players will experience the weather of the Southern Europe which will make up the game’s setting. Creative director Ralph Fulton said that the European setting allows for “diversity” and “incredible vistas.”

As well as driving across these vistas, players will be able to experience a music festival, with music making up the centre of much of the game.

Forza Horizon 2 is set for release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Autumn this year. More details will be revealed at E3.
