Developed by 51 Games, Chainers starts you off with a small farm and a handful of resources. From there, you decide what to grow, what to build, and which challenges to tackle. Farming supplies materials, crafting and merging give those materials new uses, and character upgrades provide another path for progression.

A New Home to Build

The story follows the Chainers, who flee their home world, Chainerys, after Big Eye and his army of Perfects take control. They escape through ancient Portals and eventually reach Earth, where they set out to rebuild.

They bring their memories, culture, and an unusual ability to combine things that would not normally fit together. That ability carries into the merging system, connecting the story to what you do in the game.

Characters, locations, and seasonal missions reveal more of the Chainers’ history as you play.

Farming and Building Your Farm

Farming gives you your starting point. You plant seeds, harvest crops, care for animals, and collect resources. As you progress, you expand the farm with additional plots and buildings.

Those upgrades change what your farm can produce. More developed farming systems give you access to further resources and production options, which then support crafting, merging, and rewards.

The decisions extend beyond your next harvest. You also choose which parts of the farm to develop and which resources to put towards those upgrades. The farm you build becomes the foundation for later progression.

You can handle a harvest during a short visit or spend a longer session planning what to improve next.

Crafting and Merging Resources

Crafting and merging let you combine resources through different recipes to create new items and unlock more production options.

A basic material can become an ingredient for a rarer item later. That makes deciding what to use now and what to save part of the strategy. Learning the recipes helps you understand how the resources you collect fit into your longer-term plans.

Your farm and crafting systems support each other. The farm produces materials, while recipes give you more ways to use them. As both develop, you have more options for turning a harvest into something useful.

The early stages take some patience. You need to establish the basics before the more involved systems begin working together.

Character Upgrades and Progression Tiers

Alongside the farm, you can customize and upgrade your character. Outfits, accessories, and equipment change your avatar’s appearance, while item cards also contribute to Style Points, which influence performance and progression.

Farm development contributes to progress too. The crops you grow, items you craft, animals you raise, and structures you build all affect your progress and in-game rewards.

Higher tiers provide further goals for established players. The Tier 4 update, for example, adds stronger reward pools while lowering the overall Biopoints needed to reach and use the tier.

Players have highlighted those lower requirements and improved reward pools as changes that make Tier 4 more useful. The farms and production systems they have already developed continue to support them at the higher tier. For new players, that makes building a reliable foundation worthwhile before chasing the rarest items.

Chainers’ Biggest Tier Yet Is Coming Soon

How far can you take a farm that started with a single seed? Tier 6 sets the highest milestone in Chainers yet at 250 billion Biopoints. It gives you a long-term goal to work toward as you expand your farm, discover new recipes, and plan your next upgrades.

Tier 6 will also have the largest reward pool in Chainers so far. Each payout round will distribute 0.0955 BNB, 650 POL, and 4,400 CFB from the pool. With a round every four hours, that brings the total daily pool to 0.573 BNB, 3,900 POL, and 26,400 CFB.

Digital Cards and the In-Game Economy

All in-game assets in Chainers are tied to collectible digital cards. You unlock cards by opening boosters and keep them in your Catalog. Each card includes artwork, rarity indicators, and metadata that confirm ownership and let you manage or trade it.

The three card categories serve different purposes:

  • Character Cards represent your hero across mini-games, AR Mode, and the MMO world. Every player begins with a First Chainer, while boosters can unlock additional characters.

  • Item Cards include outfits, accessories, and equipment. They support avatar customization and add to your Style Points.

  • Farm Cards include seeds, plots, fertilizers, and devices. You use them to develop your farm, raise animals, and produce goods that contribute to the reward system.

Card quality also matters. Rare or higher-quality cards can provide stronger Style Point boosts or more valuable farming yields. Character and item cards affect customization and leaderboard potential, while farm cards support your production systems.

You can also break down or merge cards to upgrade to better assets. Building a collection therefore involves deciding which cards to use, combine, or develop as you progress.

Missions, Mini-Games, and Live Events

Farming is one part of the game. Story-driven exploration and seasonal missions give you other challenges to pursue as the world expands.

New seasons introduce locations, missions, and mechanics. Limited-time events also add items and resources to work towards alongside your longer-term farm goals. Keeping track of these events matters because some additions may not remain available forever.

Mini-games offer another activity between farm tasks. You can spend a session gathering resources and planning upgrades, or switch to a mini-game or event challenge.

These activities give you options for how to spend your time without making every visit follow the same routine.

Community Activities Beyond the Farm

Your main farm is currently an individual space. Full multiplayer is not yet available within that experience, and you handle most farm progression yourself.

Community play takes place through Discord and social media. You can join events, share creations, and get help from other players with mechanics that the early tutorials do not fully explain.

The Chainers Discord also includes a separate RPG with its own activities:

  • Form parties with other players.

  • Fight bosses together.

  • Challenge one another in PvP.

  • Earn rewards through those activities.

UGC channels and the SuperChainers programme provide further ways to participate and collaborate.

51 Games plans to expand social play within the main game. Visits to friends’ farms and a PvP Arena are among the planned features.

How the Systems Fit Together

The different genres contribute to the same long-term progression. A crop you harvest can become an ingredient in a merging recipe. A farm upgrade can expand what you produce. Better cards can improve farming yields or contribute more Style Points.

That connection gives earlier work a continuing purpose. As you learn more recipes and develop your farm, you gain more ways to use the resources and assets you have collected.

It also leaves room for different session lengths. A few minutes can be enough to harvest crops and move the farm forward. A longer visit gives you time to plan upgrades, work through recipes, or complete missions.

Chainers continues to develop, with further worlds, tiers, animals, characters, and multiplayer features still ahead. For players who enjoy seeing a small starting farm become a more involved collection of production systems, there is a clear path from the first seed to the next upgrade.
