The Whimsical World of Marble’s Marbles Gets Bigger
Solo developer James Oliver has announced that Marble’s Marbles will receive its first-ever Indie Crossover Levels, bringing fresh content to the physics-based platformer as a free update for all existing players on June 28, 2026.
The update introduces a collection of handcrafted stages inspired by other indie games, each recreated within the colorful, retro-inspired world of Marble’s Marbles. While every level pays tribute to its source material with unique mechanics, visual themes, and fun references, they still retain the momentum-driven gameplay that defines the game.
Players will be able to explore the first four crossover levels at launch, while five more stages will arrive weekly throughout July. Each new release will also be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes video, offering a closer look at how the crossover levels were designed.
The featured indie games include Spaceport Trading Company, Fragile Packages: Handle With Care, Saadex Defense, Pumpkin Seeds, and All Hail The Orb. Each title brings its own gameplay style and personality, giving players a varied selection of creative crossover experiences.
Alongside the new levels, the update also improves the game’s experimental mouse and trackball controls, making pointer-based movement smoother and more responsive for players who prefer that control option.
The Indie Crossover Update will be available free of charge for all Marble’s Marbles owners on Steam starting June 28, with additional crossover stages continuing to roll out throughout July. It is a fun way to celebrate indie creativity, and fans of both Marble’s Marbles and the featured games will have plenty of new content to enjoy over the coming weeks.
