Stellar Cafe Opens Its Door on Meta Quest Headsets Today

Welcome to Stellar Cafe

AstroBeam has released its first VR adventure, Stellar Cafe, now available for Meta Quest headsets for 14.99 USD. The studio is focused on shaping the future of voice interaction, and this debut title uses natural speech and expressive hand tracking to create a new style of VR storytelling. The game transforms conversation into interactive play as you meet quirky robots, sort out their unusual problems, and serve cosmic coffee in a relaxed sci-fi setting.

Created by AstroBeam founder Devin Reimer, known for co-creating Job Simulator, Stellar Cafe invites players to speak naturally and act with simple gestures. You order drinks with your voice and greet characters with a wave. All while exploring each situation through dialogue shaped entirely by your own words. The robots you meet bring odd and charming scenarios, such as helping one leave a job at a sprocket factory or joining another as the first human guest on their podcast. Every exchange moves forward through what you choose to say, giving each session a personal rhythm.

The heart of Stellar Cafe lies in its responsive characters. The robot patrons rely on a powerful language model that helps them follow context. They can recall past details and keep conversations flowing in a smooth and believable way. This blend of real-time dialogue and intuitive hand tracking creates one of the most natural VR experiences available.

Devin Reimer describes the goal as making technology disappear into the background so interaction feels straightforward. You speak as you would in everyday life, and the characters reply as if sharing a genuine moment. Stellar Cafe aims to deliver a VR world where player and character share an easy, continuous exchange shaped entirely by voice and presence.
