Cognoggin Games has rolled out the “Content Complete Update” for Crush the Industry, now live on Steam for both Windows and macOS. To celebrate the milestone, the studio is offering a 75% discount from November 8 to 22. The game will also take the spotlight on Steam’s front page as a Daily Deal on November 8.
The latest update expands the game with two new boss encounters, fresh unlockable items, a random event, and several balance improvements. These additions mark a major step for the quirky roguelike deckbuilder that satirizes life in a chaotic game studio.
Drawing inspiration from Slay the Spire, Earthbound, and workplace comedy, Crush the Industry invites players to rise through the ranks of an eccentric AAA developer. Each run challenges players to build a deck of skills, uncover clever talent combinations, confront absurd office hazards, and maintain their sanity while climbing the corporate ladder.
The game stands out with more than 200 skills and talents that allow for endless build possibilities. Every playthrough unfolds differently, offering new challenges and outcomes. Its inventive mechanics, such as the rolling health system, timed attacks, and sanity effects, add distinct layers of strategy to the roguelike formula.
Players will encounter over 40 unusual battles, facing off against toxic co-workers, cult-like creatives, and bizarre office monsters. With 12 unlockable difficulty levels and more than 50 additional skills, consumables, and boss variants, the game rewards persistence and experimentation.
