Six One Publishing has officially announced Blue Ridge Hunting, an online co-op horror adventure, coming to PC via Steam. Developed by Jade Meadows, the game invites players to join the Appalachian Investigation Group. It is a team dedicated to uncovering the truth behind mysterious sightings and eerie folklore. Those eager to take part can support the game on Kickstarter and experience the debut demo, which offers a first look at the group’s dangerous training missions.

Inspired by real legends and local tales, Blue Ridge Hunting blends survival horror with cooperative gameplay. Players must work together using a range of tools to collect evidence and track elusive creatures. Every successful hunt earns money to upgrade gear. However, the most important part is communication. Players can use proximity voice chat and radios to bring players closer together while also risking the attention of nearby monsters that are always listening.

At full release, Blue Ridge Hunting will stand out from other co-op horror games with its complete story mode. The narrative follows Levi Chambers, a West Virginia native haunted by lifelong encounters with the infamous Mothman. Levi’s journey through Appalachia uncovers chilling truths and introduces a cast of memorable characters and terrifying creatures that blur the line between myth and reality.

Beyond its scares, the game explores themes of grief, generational trauma, and family, all framed through Appalachian folklore. Meadows describes the project as a tribute to West Virginia’s culture, a story that celebrates its spirit and resilience while confronting the darker chapters of its history. Blue Ridge Hunting promises to be both a haunting and heartfelt experience set in one of America’s most mysterious landscapes. So, go ahead and show some love on its Kickstarter and try the demo now.
