Join the Fight in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK
Netmarble has officially released THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK worldwide for both Android and iOS, bringing one of SNK’s most celebrated fighting franchises into a new format. To mark the launch, players who begin their journey now will receive up to 3,000 Summoning Tokens and 210,000 Rubies simply by playing, along with a guaranteed Legendary-grade fighter during their first summon.
Based on SNK’s classic THE KING OF FIGHTERS series, the game reimagines iconic fighters in charming pixel art, reminiscent of the visuals from The King of Fighters R-2 on the NEOGEO Pocket Color. Fans can assemble their own dream team of fighters and engage in dynamic 5v5 battles, where strategy plays a key role. Decks can be customized with up to 15 different fighters and formations, allowing for a wide variety of tactical approaches.
At launch, players can collect and train a roster of 114 fighters, including 36 Legendary fighters, along with pets to enhance their teams. The game features an expansive amount of content, with up to 12,600 stages to conquer, ten dungeon types that yield growth materials and in-game currency, and ten distinct growth systems to explore. A variety of competitive modes add further depth, with Netmarble planning to expand the content through ongoing live service updates.
To celebrate the release, several special events are underway. A seven-day check-in campaign rewards valuable items, culminating in a Legendary Fighter Summon Ticket on the final day. A special pick-up event increases the chance of acquiring Kyo Kusanagi in his KOF 99 style, while another boosts the odds of summoning fighters with Fury synergy until September 17. Additional launch celebrations also provide opportunities to recruit new pets and supporters, ensuring players have plenty to look forward to as they dive into the game.
