The Story Continues in CULTIC
CULTIC, the retro-inspired horror shooter from Jasozz Games and published under Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label, is preparing to expand its blood-soaked world with the release of Chapter Two on September 18, 2025. The DLC, priced at £8.50/9.75€, arrives on Steam and promises to bring the story to a brutal conclusion.
The new chapter begins in the chilling morgue beneath a besieged police station, throwing players into the heart of a cult ravaged New Grandewel. The once familiar city is now a burning ruin, with corpses in the streets and cultists lurking in every corner. Players must carve their way through a campaign of larger, more detailed maps. There will be new enemies, hidden secrets, and an expanded arsenal.
Chapter Two builds on CULTIC’s signature open-ended combat while introducing fresh mechanics. Interlude’s Revolver and SASG join the returning weapons, and players can freely swap them with the classic lever-action rifle and sawed-off shotgun. Combat feels faster and more aggressive thanks to an overhauled dodge system and the addition of a tackle move, letting players slam into enemies, interrupt attacks, and create space to reload or strike back. Temporary heavy weapons like the mounted machine gun and bazooka further raise the stakes. Furthermore, tower Shields now serve as portable cover, offensive tools, or mobile defenses depending on how they are used.
Beyond the main story, three new Survival Maps offer arenas where players can test their skills against endless cultist waves. At the same time, a major 2.0 patch will roll out across the entire game. It will enhance Chapter One with performance upgrades, bug fixes, visual overhauls, and denser environments.
With Chapter Two, CULTIC does not just expand its world; it sharpens it, closing out the story while making the entire game more brutal, polished, and rewarding.
