More Details for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be arriving on Nintendo platforms later this year. And new details from its Japanese website reveal how the game will run on both the Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.
According to the update, the Switch 2 version of the Unreal Engine 5 fighter will feature a maximum resolution of 810p using dynamic resolution scaling, with gameplay locked at 30 frames per second in both docked and handheld modes. Players on this platform will also benefit from HDR support, offering richer visuals and brighter colors.
Meanwhile, the original Nintendo Switch version will run at a fixed 720p resolution when docked and 480p in handheld mode, also at 30fps. While the performance is more limited compared to Switch 2, both versions will still feature the same fast-paced gameplay that the Dragon Ball fighting series is known for.
Beyond performance, Bandai Namco confirmed that the Nintendo versions of the game will feature local multiplayer and motion control support, providing fans with additional ways to experience the action. There will also be a system update available for both physical and digital copies of the game. It will ensure that Switch owners who upgrade to Switch 2 can enjoy an enhanced version.
To highlight the visual differences between the two platforms, the publisher has released comparison screenshots, offering a side-by-side look at how Sparking! Zero will appear on Switch and Switch 2. Take a look at it yourself on the official Nintendo Everything website.
