Save Lives In Danger In Pompeii
Institut Le Rosey and DNA Studios have announced the release of Danger in Pompeii, a historical adventure puzzle game on Steam for $4.99. Developed in collaboration with over fifty students, this immersive title places players in the heart of ancient Pompeii, just moments before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
In Danger in Pompeii, you play as Flavius or Flavia, a young citizen navigating the final hours of the city. As strange events unfold, you will explore Pompeii’s streets and help neighbors. All while piecing together a mysterious warning from the god Mercury. From mastering bread recipes at the Pistrinum to solving crimes at the theater, each puzzle uncovers more of a city on the brink.
Every location is hand-drawn and grounded in historical research, bringing temples, markets, and the Grand Theater to life with careful detail. Along the way, players get a vivid sense of Roman daily life from the bustling forums to the excitement of the Amphitheater.
The game is the result of a unique educational project led by Institut Le Rosey, with students contributing to visuals, music, and puzzle design. Their work makes Danger in Pompeii not just an entertaining experience but a meaningful glimpse into the past. With the support of Fondation Le Rosey, the team has released a free version for free schools and iOS. A special classroom edition with teaching materials is also available on the official website.
Whether you are curious about ancient history or looking for an engaging learning tool, Danger in Pompeii offers a powerful journey into one of history’s most unforgettable moments.
